  1. Combine soy sauce, honey and 1 tablespoon water in small dish and set near the stove. Set a shallow dish near the stove also.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a 10 inch skillet and sauté over medium high heat. When butter is melted, add green beans and 1/2 teaspoon salt and toss with tongs to coat well. Cook, turning the beans occasionally, until almost browned, shrunken and tender, 7 to 8 minutes (The butter will have turned dark brown).
  3. Reduce the heat to low, add garlic and cook, stirring constantly until the garlic is softened 10-20 seconds. Add the soy sauce, scrape the honey into the pan. Cook, stirring 30-45 seconds until glazey.
